Transforming existing White Box apartments has become a major focus for architecture studios in recent years, especially for those taking their first steps in a challenging professional environment like the current one.

This small apartment is located in the city of Warsaw. It is situated on a hill near the historic campus of the university. The windows offer a beautiful view of the city.

The INCH Architects team has transformed the space of a small apartment of 47 m² in area into a cozy home - minimalistic and functional. The goal was to create a modular, flexible space that can be adapted to suit any lifestyle.

The kitchen set with adjoining closet is designed as a unique object that fits into the living room. The rich color and linear shape give it a central place in the living space. A monochrome piece of furniture forms a line going into the bathroom, visually connecting the spaces and creating a smooth transition from the common to the private space. The finishes have also been combined in a subtle, open way with modest elegance, despite the protruding structures.

As a decorative element, a plasterboard panel with a “floating” effect was added in the living room, mounted with a wooden structure attached to the adjacent wall. It acts as an architectural item and, at the same time, hides a heating radiator. The structure is also complemented by a TV zone visible from the central part and a sitting area, which together form the living room. The strategies adopted have led to the creation of a unique social space that is bright and spacious with a wonderful view of the campus.

INCH Architects aimed to create a project where the main focus was the construction of integrated environments with the best use of available space. Therefore, we created a sleeping area and a storage area in a single unit to increase the living space.

In the children's area, a workplace has been created and maximum storage systems have been installed. As a result of these solutions, we managed to create functional, light and open spaces that allow you to breathe, despite their compactness.

The bathroom was enlarged  to accommodate a spacious shower room and installation.

Much attention was paid to the choice of materials during the implementation of the project. It was important for us to create an architecture that allows us to provide a reliable and balanced environment within the space.
